Softball Recap: Keyser Falls Short Against Ranked Frankfort

Keyser faced Frankfort in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Golden Tornado took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Tornado in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Brielle Root made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bibs Felton, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Keyser's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Frankfort, the win keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.

While Keyser had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
