Volleyball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Richfield challenged Panguitch on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bobcats, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Richfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Jerzy Moon paced Richfield's offense, picking up 14 kills. Moon got some help from Adrie Seely and her 29 assists. Seely and Moon didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Among those leading the charge was Brooklyn Harland, who had 12 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Richfield and nudges their season record down to 7-13. As for Panguitch, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Coming up, Richfield will welcome Providence Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Panguitch, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Water Canyon on the 1st.
