Volleyball Game Preview: Mansfield Timberview Wolves vs. Centennial Spartans

The Mansfield Timberview Wolves will face off against the Centennial Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mansfield Timberview, who comes in off a win.

Mansfield Timberview not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 30th (when they won 3-0). They blew past Seguin 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Meanwhile, Centennial didn't have quite enough to beat Burleson on Friday and fell 3-2. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Centennial took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 19-17.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 24-11. As for Mansfield Timberview, their victory bumped their record up to 12-18.

Mansfield Timberview might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Centennial when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
