Osbourn hasn't had much luck against Freedom recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Osbourn will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. Osbourn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Osbourn turned things around against Mount Vernon on Wednesday. They blew past the Majors 13-4. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
MacKenzie Fitterer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Those hits were her first of the season.
At the plate, Tristyn Kershner was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailynn White, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Freedom's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Battlefield on Thursday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Freedom also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Riley Picinich gave up only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. Picinich has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Freedom saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashleigh Bronowicz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Freedom's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-7. As for Osbourn, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
