Softball Recap: Prince of Peace Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Prince of Peace posted their closest win since January 31, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Varsity Opponent 8-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Megan Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Alaina Churchill was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison White, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Prince of Peace pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Prince of Peace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Glenn at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Varsity Opponent's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
