Softball Recap: Papillion-LaVista Monarchs vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights
Papillion-LaVista won the last time they faced Lincoln Southeast, and things went their way on Friday too. The Papillion-LaVista Monarchs came out on top against the Lincoln Southeast Knights by a score of 8-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Monarchs.
Carly Bertolini looked comfortable as she tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Maizey Carpenter was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Toria Rother, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Papillion-LaVista has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Lincoln Southeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
