Baseball Game Preview: Brentwood Christian Bears vs. Texans Baseball Homeschool Texans

The Brentwood Christian Bears will take on the Texans Baseball Homeschool Texans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Texans Baseball Homeschool took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Brentwood Christian, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, Brentwood Christian beat Bracken Christian 7-3. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tanner Hunka and Jack Copeland made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hunka tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Copeland didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Furthermore, Hunka didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. At the plate, Hunka scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Copeland scored a run while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Texans Baseball Homeschool had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of West Houston HomeSchool by a score of 3-2 last Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Brentwood Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Texans Baseball Homeschool when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will Brentwood Christian repeat their success, or does Texans Baseball Homeschool have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
