Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Tornados vs. Burbank Bulldogs

Hoover is 1-9 against Burbank since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Hoover Tornados will welcome the Burbank Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m.

Hoover is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were dealt an 82-33 loss at the hands of Pasadena. The Tornados were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burbank, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Marshall 87-53 on Saturday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 28 points or more this season.

Burbank's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39 points. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Hoover couldn't quite finish off Burbank in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 66-64. Can Hoover avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
