The Loveland Red Wolves will face off against the Monarch Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Loveland's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Loveland came up short against Frederick and fell 21-10. While the Red Wolves had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Golden Eagles 7-0.

Deon Christopher put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 83 yards and one TD. Jackson Gebhardt helped out on the ground, rushing for 95 yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monarch). They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Boulder 63-6. The win continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Abbott Lockwood and Malakhi Payne. Lockwood rushed for 203 yards and a pair of scores while Payne rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Lockwood's longest rush was for an incredible 94 yards.

Monarch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 398 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 82.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 299.3.

Monarch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bennett Heger and Jack Robarge.

Monarch's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Loveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
