Recap: Kingman Bulldogs vs. Tonopah Valley Phoenix
The Kingman Bulldogs have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Tonopah Valley by a score of 31-20 on Wednesday. That's another feather in the cap for Kingman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kingman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Katie Shull led the charge by scoring eight points along with five steals. Teagin Lewis was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Kingman's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Tonopah Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Kingman will be playing in front of their home fans against American Leadership Academy - West Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tonopah Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Odyssey Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Odyssey Institute's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Tonopah Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
