Alex Polenik leads Penns Manor to victory over Ferndale

Recap: Penns Manor Comets vs. Ferndale Yellow Jackets
The Penns Manor Comets took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against Ferndale by a score of 57-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Penns Manor also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
Among those leading the charge was Alex Polenik, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Smith, who scored 17 points.
Penns Manor's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penns Manor will face off against Conemaugh Township at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Conemaugh Township focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for Ferndale, they will head out on the road to face off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
