Riverdale entered their tilt with Smyrna on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They enjoyed a cozy  31-13 victory over the Bulldogs. The score was all tied up  10-10 at the break, but the Warriors were the (much) better team in the second half.
 A big part of Riverdale's  win came down to the chemistry between  Gavin Hampton and his top target  Corben Reynolds. Hampton threw for 254 yards and three  TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes while  Reynolds picked up 123 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Hampton's passing game has become a key predictor of Riverdale's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
Riverdale's record now sits at 5-2. As for Smyrna, they now  have a losing record of 3-4.
 Riverdale and Smyrna will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matchups. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Siegel  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. As for Smyrna, their break will end when they face Blackman  on  the 17th.
