Volleyball Game Preview: George Washington Prep Generals vs. Locke Saints

George Washington Prep hasn't had much luck against Locke recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Generals will venture away from home to challenge the Saints at 4:30 p.m.

George Washington Prep came up short against Harbor Teacher on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Locke made easy work of Dymally on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Challengers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Locke was: they took every set by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

The victory got Locke back to even at 2-2. As for George Washington Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

George Washington Prep couldn't quite get it done against Locke when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
