Baseball Recap: Utica Takes a Loss

After flying high against Zanesville on Wednesday, Utica came back down to earth. The Redskins fell 7-2 to the Northridge Vikings on Friday. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Utica's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Northridge, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Utica will host Johnstown-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northridge, they will welcome Worthington Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.23 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
