Basketball Recap: Parkway Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Parkway Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Grace Christian Patriots and fell 78-34. While losing is never fun, Parkway Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 767th, while Grace Christian is ranked 265th).

It was another big night for Will Hawes, who posted 21 points and seven rebounds for Grace Christian. Hawes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Mark Dudley was another key player, putting up 19 points and six boards.

Parkway Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Grace Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Parkway Christian Academy will face off against New Jerusalem Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. New Jerusalem Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Grace Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-63 victory against Heritage Christian School on the 16th.
