Carlson is still undefeated this season after their game against Trenton on Friday, but Trenton came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Marauders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over the Trojans. Surprisingly, this marked the Marauders' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Izaiah Wright had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 112 yards and one TD. Noah Latzy was in the mix too, providing Carlson with one touchdown.

Trenton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Anthony Hawkins, who rushed for 105 yards on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Tyler Crook was another key back, gaining 111 total yards and a touchdown.

Carlson's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Trenton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Carlson will take on Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trenton, they will square off against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
