Softball Recap: Cross County Takes a Loss

Cross County lost against Buffalo Island Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds lost 20-10 to the Mustangs. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Cross County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Buffalo Island Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cross County is set to square off against their familiar foe Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Buffalo Island Central will take on rival East Poinsett County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
