Basketball Recap: Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-25, which was the final score in the Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions's tilt against the North Valley Baptist Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1152nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 571st).

This is the second loss in a row for Luis Valdez Leadership Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for North Valley Baptist, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Luis Valdez Leadership Academy and North Valley Baptist next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Luis Valdez Leadership Academy will try to stop KIPP Navigate College Prep's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. Meanwhile, North Valley Baptist will face off against KIPP San Jose Collegiate and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
