Basketball Game Preview: Locust Grove Pirates vs. Salina Wildcats

The Locust Grove Pirates will face off against the Salina Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Locust Grove and four for Salina.

Last Friday, Locust Grove ended up a good deal behind Wagoner and lost 76-58. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-40, which was the final score in Salina's tilt against Adair on Saturday.

Salina's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Locust Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
