Baseball Recap: Hermitage's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hermitage ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the J.R. Tucker Tigers, sneaking past 12-10. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Brody Davis was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hermitage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hermitage's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for J.R. Tucker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hermitage will challenge Highland Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.R. Tucker, they will face off against Glen Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
