Softball Recap: Great Oak Comes Up Short

Great Oak suffered their closest loss since May 9, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Capistrano Valley Cougars by a score of 3-1. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Great Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Capistrano Valley, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Great Oak will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Murrieta Valley at 3:30 p.m. The Nighthawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight. As for Capistrano Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Santa Margarita at 10:00 a.m. on the 12th.
