Football Recap: Gordon Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gordon Central and Jasper County squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gordon Central had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 44-13 loss at the hands of the Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 137th).

Draden Manis threw for 182 yards and one touchdown. Riley Thomas was his top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Brandon Thomas rushed for 46 yards and one score.

Chance Ross produced another solid performance rushing for 178 yards and one score on only 15 carries for Jasper County. JaMarkus Thomas was another key player, throwing for 54 yards and a pair of TDs.

Gordon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Jasper County, their record now sits at 10-1.

Gordon Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jasper County, they will challenge Pepperell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
