Delphi Community proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Pioneer Panthers. This was payback for the Oracles, who suffered a 12-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kylynn Spitznagle was incredible, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sami Leopard, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Delphi Community lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Delphi Community now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Delphi Community wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Tri-Central on the 23rd. As for Pioneer, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Western on the 18th.
