Baseball Recap: Eaglecrest Victorious

Eaglecrest hadn't done well against Cherokee Trail recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Raptors came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Raptors: when they faced off against the Cougars back in March, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

Braden Elliott was excellent, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory got Eaglecrest back to even at 8-8. As for Cherokee Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Eaglecrest will challenge Denver North at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cherokee Trail, they will welcome Cherry Creek at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
