Baseball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeland can now relate to. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westview Warriors on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Lakers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lakeland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drannon Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lakeland moved to 25-5 with that loss, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Westview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lakeland nor Westview have any future games scheduled.
