The Florida Gators get rare out-of-state five-star prospect.
Bradley Beal in 2011 was the last five-star recruit from out-of-state coach Billy Donovan was able to haul in. Prior to that was 2004, when Tennessee native Corey Brewer decided to attend the University of Florida.

Devin Robinson has been compared to Brewer and is just another in a line of slithery wing/forward hybrids players — like Mike Miller and Chandler Parsons — that Donovan has had so much success with in his career.
Robinson transferred to Christchurch School and reclassified after his original junior year in 2011-12 at
Manchester High where he averaged 19 points, eight boards and two blocks.
With a fresh new start, Robinson went out with something to prove, and that he did. Averaging 17.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, Robinson was named the Virginia private school Player of the Year after leading Christchurch to a 24-7 overall record and a state championship in 2012-13 — the school's first since 1991.
Individually, this past season Robinson stepped up his game, raising all of his major statistical averages to 25.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game.
The 2014 Parade All-American is the
No. 20 overall recruit in the class of 2014 according to
247sports.
A Jeremy Lamb clone to recruiters, Robinson picked the Florida Gators over the likes of Oklahoma State, Indiana and Notre Dame. He will be joining other top-40 recruits in the Top 247,
Brandone Francis of
Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville, Fla.) and
Chris Chiozza of
White Station (Memphis, Tenn.) to create the
No. 8 overall recruiting class.
