Football Recap: Molalla Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Molalla's offense. They were beaten by the Estacada Rangers 44-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Rangers are ranked 48th).

Blake Barger had an outrageously good game for Estacada as he rushed for 72 yards and two scores on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Barger has posted since back in October of 2024.

Molalla is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Estacada, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Molalla will face off against Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Estacada, they will square off against Woodburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
