Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Beats Rodriguez for Their Fourth Straight Win

Pioneer waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Rodriguez Mustangs by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 21-25, 25-13, 25-22.

Pioneer can attribute much of their success to Layla Medalle, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Pioneer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Pioneer's record now sits at 18-8. As for Rodriguez, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against River City on the 1st. As for Rodriguez, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sacramento on the 1st.
