Soccer Game Preview: Stevenson vs. Watsonville

The Stevenson Pirates will face off against the Watsonville Wildcatz at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Stevenson didn't have quite enough to beat Palma and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 768th, while the Chieftains are ranked 301st).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Watsonville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They and Pajaro Valley finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Wildcatz happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 4th.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3. Watsonville's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-6.
