Baseball Recap: University Comes Up Short

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Barracudas earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

University saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isiah Mejia, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

University now has a losing record of 7-8-2. As for New Smyrna Beach, they moved to 9-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

University wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-0 win against West Port on the 27th. As for New Smyrna Beach, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against DeLand on the 31st.
