Softball Recap: Lakeshore Has No Trouble Against Newman

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Archbishop Hannan, Lakeshore was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Newman Greenies with a sharp 14-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Lakeshore needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Lakeshore's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Newman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Lakeshore wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against Maurepas on the 8th. As for Newman, they will face off against Bonnabel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newman has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
