Football Recap: Antelope Triumphs Behind Punishing Ground Game + How To Watch

Antelope won the last time they faced River Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Titans strolled past the Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. The Titans pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Philip Goudeaux III went supernova, rushing for 97 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Those 97 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Yakubovskiy, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Antelope was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Antelope's defense stepped up as well, laying out Jayden Walker three times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: James Jacobson and Jerret Bryant Jr, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Walker and Jesus Fernandez certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Walker threw for 131 yards and a pair of TDs, while Fernandez rushed for 107 yards.

Antelope's record is now 3-7. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Antelope is taking a road trip to challenge Yuba City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
