Basketball Recap: Orcas Island Skates Past Darrington with Ease

After losing to Darrington the last time they met, Orcas Island decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Orcas Island Vikings blew past the Darrington Loggers 52-11 on Tuesday. That 41 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Orcas Island now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Darrington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Orcas Island will be playing at home against Coupeville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Darrington, they will venture away from home to challenge La Conner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
