Soccer Recap: Ringgold Comes Up Short

Ringgold was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Adairsville, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Ringgold can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Adairsville is ranked 105th).

Ringgold's goal came courtesy of Ella Lifsey, who's now up to seven this season.

Ringgold's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Adairsville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Ringgold will square off against Ridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ringgold will be up against Ridgeland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.94 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Adairsville, they will head out on the road to take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adairsville are facing Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at the right time seeing as Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
