Volleyball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portville Panthers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

The victory was the 22nd in a row (dating back to last season) for Portville, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Monroe will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Livonia at 6:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Portville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Brighton on the 30th.
