Basketball Recap: Lincoln Dean Key Part of a Team Effort in Jaguars Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Cabrillo challenged Jordan on Thursday. The Cabrillo Jaguars strolled past the Jordan Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Cabrillo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lincoln Dean out in front who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points and five assists. Mason Johnson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Cabrillo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Jordan, they dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cabrillo won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Compton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cabrillo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season. As for Jordan, they will venture away from home to square off against Mayfair at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
