Baseball Game Preview: Beaver Beavers vs. Gunnison Valley Bulldogs

Beaver and Gunnison Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Beaver Beavers will challenge the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Gunnison Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Beaver, who comes in off a win.

Beaver had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Hurricane by a score of 10-5 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Davis Carter, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Hollingshead, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Gunnison Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-0 to Enterprise on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Beaver took their victory against Gunnison Valley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1. Does Beaver have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gunnison Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
