Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family Comes Up Short

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family was the 78-61 winner over College Prep of America when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family fell 56-49 to the College Prep of America Thunder on Tuesday. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamzah Shouman was his usual excellent self, going 11 for 24 on his way to 33 points in addition to five boards and four steals for College Prep of America. The matchup was Shouman's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abu Bakr Hasan, who posted 12 points and seven boards.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for College Prep of America, their record now sits at 4-10.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family and Bishop McNamara will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for College Prep of America, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Harvest Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. College Prep of America is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
