While Montgomery Catholic might've come up empty on Thursday, Gavin Phelan wasn't going down without a fight. Phelan wasn't messing around, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The contest was his fifth straight with at least one stolen base.

Even though Phelan couldn't lead Montgomery Catholic over Trinity Presbyterian, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2022, but a win here would be a good start.
