Baseball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Folsom Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Whitney will face off against Folsom. The Wildcats will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Whitney has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Whitney narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Folsom 7-5. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

For Folsom's part, Angelo Orozco made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Orozco has brought in this season.

Folsom's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Whitney, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
