Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mckenzie Durbin and Lacie Watts Lead Northside to Victory

Northside won the last time they faced Houston County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Bears 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Northside got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 16-14.

Northside was led to victory by Lacie Watts and Mckenzie Durbin. Watts had 19 assists and three blocks, while Durbin had nine digs. The dominant performance also gave Watts a new career-high in kills (four).

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Houston County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Coincidentally, Northside and Houston County will both be playing Warner Robins the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
