Basketball Recap: Flatonia Comes Up Short

Flatonia suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Schulenburg Shorthorns and fell 66-38. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Shorthorns recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Flatonia's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Schulenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Flatonia will face off against rival Bloomington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Schulenburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Louise at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
