Basketball Recap: Elijah Knight Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win + How To Watch

Leon won against St. John Paul II on Tuesday with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 68-55 victory over the Brookwood Warriors. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 64-43 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Leon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Knight, who shot 43% from the field en route to 21 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was DeKendrick Williams, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 15 points and six steals.

Leon has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 68.0 points this season. As for Brookwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Leon will head out to challenge Cedar Shoals at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brookwood, they will face off against St. John Paul II at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
