After a string of three wins, Avon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Parker/Marion Pheasants by a score of 2-1.
Rilyn Thury paced Avon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Thury got some help from Brielle Voigt and her 19 assists. Jordyn Voigt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Braelyn Berens was a one-woman wrecking crew For Parker/Marion. as she had 23 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave Berens a new career-high.
Avon's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Parker/Marion, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
