Baseball Recap: Oakwood Comets vs. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils

After flying high against Watseka last Monday, Oakwood came back down to earth. The Oakwood Comets fell just short of the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. Oakwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Brody Taflinger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played.

On Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's side, the team relied heavily on Micah Stanford, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Enrique Rangel, who got a hit.
