Softball Recap: Simpson Comes Up Short

Simpson lost against Hornbeck back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Broncos took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hornbeck, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Looking ahead, Simpson will square off against Oak Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.55 runs per game on average), something the Broncos will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hornbeck, they will venture away from home to square off against Singer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
