Basketball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

After flying high against Andes Central/Dakota Christian last Thursday, Wagner came back down to earth. The Wagner Red Raiders fell just short of the Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks by a score of 45-42 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Raiders have suffered since January 11th.

Wagner's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

Wagner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-42 loss against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on the 11th. As for Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-45 victory against Highmore/Harrold on the 14th.
