After a string of three wins, New Albany's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a hard 51-36 fall against the Bloomington South Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Panthers are ranked 25th).

New Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Bloomington South, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

New Albany will head out to take on Brownstown Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bloomington South, they will look to defend their home court on January 11th against Columbus North at 2:30 p.m.
