Softball Game Preview: Berks Catholic Saints vs. Wilson Warriors

The Berks Catholic Saints will venture away from home to face off against the Wilson Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Berks Catholic has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Berks Catholic is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Fleetwood on Friday. They lost 12-1 to the Tigers.

Berks Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giana Mirenda, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Sophia Bradley was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). They blew past Exeter Township 14-6 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Wilson's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Berks Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
