Walled Lake Northern dropped their record down to 9-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Kettering Captains by a score of 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since May 7, 2024.

As for Kettering, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Kettering's part, WYATT BAUMGRAS looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, BAUMGRAS posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last three games.
